How can we protect children in church? Secure the Physical Area
Depending on the size of your church or children’s ministry, you may need to secure a single room or an entire wing of the facility. Regardless, children should not leave the area without an adult escort unless they have been turned back over to the care of their parent or guardian.
How long is ministry safe training? Our highest level of training, MinistrySafe Institute, is a 16-hour seminary-level course focused on equipping church leaders to understand, prevent, and respond to the reality of child sexual abuse.
Why is church important for child development? Regular Church Attendance Fosters a Sense of Community
Through regular church attendance, children come into contact with and can develop relationships with others who share the same values. They can also interact with adults from different generations who can serve as role models and mentors.
